Vintage celluloid doll in original costume, possibly Ukrainian or Russian

Description

Vintage celluloid doll in original costume, possibly Ukrainian or Russian. 9 inches tall. Cloth hands feel as if there are molded fingers beneath the cloth. Solid packed cloth body with button joints. Sleeves and front of shirt show fabulous red embroidered detailing. Even her undershorts have decorative rick rack trim. Attractive ankle tie boots.  There is something solidly self assured about this young woman's stance. Maybe it's those boots in combination with her calm determined face. Whatever it is, she knows she's going to get the job done.
This doll is from an estate whose heir reports that her great, great grandmother worked for a cruise ship, and collected dolls during her travels around the world. Exact year of purchase is unknown. Doll is in fair condition for its age. Blue smudge on cheek, and small crease in corner of her eye. She is dusty but intact with a mild storage air. Fabric is a bit faded and dirty. No cleaning has been attempted, so this could be a rewarding restoration project for the expert. Please examine photos for defects before purchase.
