Offered here is this nice vintage cast iron trivet that was made in Japan and is a replica of an East Africa One Shilling Piece. I am unsure of the exact age of the trivet, but I do know that it dates of the late 1940's or very early 1950's, and is a replica of a 1948 Shilling Piece. It is made of cast iron, and is coated in a gold paint coating. There are some signs of patina due to age but it is otherwise in very good condition. It is .75" tall, and 6.5" in diameter. It was made in Japan. It is a nice, vintage cast iron trivet, and a completely usable piece, as well as being a nice addition to a vintage kitchen-wares or trivet collection.
