    Description

    Very old   4/4 (or 7/8?) violin with a 1 part back.  The label inside reads  "Jacobus Stainer in Absam prope oenipontum 1630" (the violin is not that old, of course)  The instrument needs a good cleaning and some minor service. There might be a small crack at the front. (under the chin rest) The fingerboard is loose.    The overal length is : 58,3cm; (23  inches) length of the body:35,5cm.
