From a recent appraisal at 00:APPRAISAL - Violin - 4/4 Juzek

-This 4/4 Juzek violin owned by Mr. Jon ** according to its label would indeed date this instrument to circa 1930. There’s a couple reasons why. The label stating “…in Prague” date it as pre-World War II and actually pre-1938. post World War II instruments with the Juzek label state “formerly of Prague”. Czechoslovakia was a union of the checks in the Slovaks creating their own independent nation in 1918 at the end of World War I, having declared independence after the break up of the Austro Hungarian empire. It lasted for 20 years before it was divided up again in 1938. A good deal of the north western part was ceded to Germany, and the rest was divided up between Poland Hungary and Austria.
-This violin is in beautiful restored condition by Eric Trujillo of Mi Vida Strings in Denver Colorado.
It is with its original medium brown/chestnut varnish including a fine French polish.
New professional hand selected French bridge, soundpost, antiqued fine German boxwood pegs, Thomastik dominant strings and wittner ultra tailpiece. Setup for optimal professional playing condition. Fair market value for this period Juzek instrument is desirable. It’s fair market value based on history of Juzek violins we know to be true and the confirmation of a Juzek expert from Chicago “Songsken Strings” is presently valued at 00
