Gorgeous old vintage ¾ sized violin with working bow in case is being auctioned off to the highest bidder regardless of price! With NO RESERVE!
The violin was crafted in the German workshop of Ernst Kreusler who in his day became one of the leading export companies in the early 20
th
century. It’s original label inside is a reflection of this impressive success.
Gorgeous dark red shaded varnish with a golden yellow base covers the holographic, highly flamed maple two piece back. The top is made of a strong,
fine to medium grain spruce top.
Good German workmanship from the carefully laid out purfling to the attractive Amati designed f-holes to the deep cut, masculine scroll. The inside workmanship is fine too! It’s smooth, clean and polished with all four corners blocked and reinforced by lining strips of wood.
Luckily the violin is in very good, healthy conditions with some minor surface hairlines to the upper left F-hole that do not go all the way through the wood . There are also some varnish scratches. No sound post or bass bar cracks.
