Gorgeous old vintage ¾ sized violin with working bow in case is being auctioned off to the highest bidder regardless of price! With NO RESERVE!The violin is ready to play with good Tonica strings.
The violin was crafted in the German workshop of Karl Höfner who in his day became one of the leading export companies. It’s original label inside is a reflection of this impressive success which continued even after the Höfners were forced out of the Sudetenland into exile in 1941, eventually moving their company to Bubenreuth in 1951 where it remains to this day. This
Karl Höfner violin is a great example of the flawless quality of Höfner instruments. The violin is a successful replica of a Stradivarius.
Gorgeous brown shaded varnish with a golden yellow base covers the holographic tiger flamed maple two piece back with maching ribs. The top is made of a strong,
fine to medium grain spruce top.
Flawless
German workmanship from the carefully laid out purfling to the attractive stradivarian designed f-holes to the deep cut, masculine scroll. The inside workmanship is fine too! It’s smooth, clean and polished with all four corners blocked and reinforced by lining strips of wood.
Th violin has been well used throughout the years as you can see, a very good sign indicating that previous owners clearly thought very highly of the violin and enjoyed playing it!
With all the nicks and scratches from over 50
years of being played by countless players to prove it!
Luckily the violin is in very good, healthy conditions with no sound post or bass bar cracks. With only a minor, repair to the lower right F-hole.
