French violin by François Jacques Barbé Mirecourt c1840,Video!!

Fantastic sounding and very good preserved French violin  by J.Barbe Pere in Mirecourt circa 1840. It has an original Barbe stamp and origin of violin was confirmed verbally by French expert.
In a very good shape for it's age, some traces of worms(very old), some old  and stable repairs - repaired crack under chinrest, button near  neck repaired, head replaced ,it is  probably much older then violin, no soundpost or bass bar area issues.(see photos) All are very old professionally made  repairs, stable and there is not need of attention as well as they does not impact sound or playability.
There are  signs of intense professional use, some small chips and dents on varnish here and there, but nothing really important for a violin of such age.
Fantastic, quite dark Romantic sound and excellent  power and very good projection.Many shades of tonal colours, good articulation and also very good legato.  Good player, easy to hold, very responding, made for player .
Quite recent  setup and new strings, fully ready to play, no further investments by luthier needed.

We recently tested it in a big Symphony Hall and of course  it was able to fill that room easily. The sound itself is wonderful, very balanced and  with very good projection.
