    Description

    For sale is a beautiful antique porcelain trivet by Z S & Co., Bavaria, dated circa 1880. This 7" tea tile has lavender flowers, green leaves, and gold accent trim (faded in spots) around a raised edge, against a bright white background. (A second line of gold trim on the upper outer edge is largely faded or missing.) In very good antique condition: No chips, cracks or repairs; two underneath rings are a bit rough from many decades of shelf life. There are minute glaze pits, a product of the manufacturing process.  Marked in green under glaze:    Z. S. & Co    (wavy line)   Bavaria     in addition to the numbers 8588.
