    TYPE:  Vintage B&W Postcard
    DESCRIPTION: The Place of Ajuda is a neoclassical monument in the civil parish of Ajuda in the city of Lisbon, Portugal.  Built on the site of a temporary wooden building constructed to house the Royal family after the 1755 earthquake and tsunami, it was originally begun by architect Manuel Caetano de Sousa, but finished by Jose da Costa e Silva and Francisco Xavier Fabri.
    CONDITION: Used and mailed – 1913 to Uruguay. Minor corner and edge wear. Light soiling and age tanning. Addressee’s last name obliterated by “White-Out.” Good to Very Good condition.
    Sold AS IS. Look carefully at the pictures to Judge Condition for Yourself.
